SHOW AUDITION

The 2023 Chinese New Year Gala is coming! To celebrate Chinese New Year, Northwest Chamber of Commerce USA (NCOCU) will be hosting the annual Gala on Jan 7th, 2023. Featuring songs, dance, comedy skits and many more live performances, the Gala is a variety show on a grand scale. It is a perfect getaway from stress and a great event to experience the richness of Chinese culture.

NCOCU is currently recruiting performers for this event. If you’re interested in showing your talent such as singing, dancing, playing any musical instrument, and performing comedy etc., please check out our recruitment details below. Don’t miss the chance to take the stage at one of the most anticipated events of the year!

1. Desired Performances

1) Singing: solo, chorus, stage musicals, traditional Chinese opera

2) Dance: Ballet, modern, folk, etc.

3) Musical instruments: basically any kind you’d like to bring to the stage!

4) Comedy skits, short stage drama, etc.

5) Novelties and other creative performances: e.g. martial arts shows

2. Requirements for performances

1) Recommended no longer than 10min per show

2) You’re responsible for preparing costumes, stage props, and musical instruments for your own performance.

3. Dates

1) Recruitment for performers: Jan 12th – Jan 29th, 2022

2) Official performance: Jan 7th, 2023
